About me
I am a computer scientist currently part time employed at REA Card GmbH. There I am mostly involved in internal software development and decision supporting data science tasks.
I studied computer science at Technische Universität Darmstadt where I later was a research and teaching assistant at the database systems group.
Since 2001 I am a Linux user, currently using Arch while having used SuSE, Slackware, and Gentoo before, besides Debian and CentOS on servers. I favor doing things the lean way using the command line or Emacs.
I am coding in a lot of different programming languages currently, including Java, Javascript/Typescript, C/C++, Python, Delphi, Bash, and XSLT, plus a number of markup languages.
After work you often find me at the local gym where I am a gymnastics coach.
I live in a small village near Frankfurt in Germany with my wife and our little son.
